You have a good quality TV and now you are looking for a TV connection rather than using a Television Antenna. In Sri Lank SLT Peo TV and Dialog satellite TV are the two major options.
Dialog TV connection uses a Satellite connection. But Peo TV is provided through your landline broad band SLT cable connection.
With PEO TV you get 48 hours of rewind TV facility so you can catch up what you have missed out.
Recently, Dialog TV has also introduced 72 hour rewind facility with their ViU HUB. So, you can watch any program that you may have missed, upto 3 days later. The ViU Hub includes many features such as Rewind TV, Catch Up TV and Personal Video Recording. You can also watch channels on your mobile devices when you go out.
Many customers complain that Dialog TV does not work during rainy days.
PEO TV has a issue as their programs stuck for few seconds and some users complain that they have to restart their modem for several times to start the program. For Peo TV, you have to get SLT broadband connection, so you have to pay for the telephone fees also.

Both companies say that they provide all local channels, however during key sports events such as Cricket matches you may have to pay extra (buy channels separately) to watch these important programs.
Why pay extra monthly fee for these connections if you are only watching local channels? Buy and fix a good antenna properly (such as famous Batapola Antenna) watch many channels free using normal Broadcast TV stations.
