Why start early
As a school leaver what you have is an education up to O Level or Advanced Level. But you also have your own talents, lots of time, plenty of energy and youthful will power to start fresh. Even if you are planning to go into higher education (doing a degree or a course), getting early work experience can be a plus point in time to come. So by the time you finish your higher education, you are able to add a couple of years of work experience to give you an added advantage in your resume (CV).
Your options
You can plan big – but you have to start small.
Entry Level Jobs
As a beginner, you can take the liberty to go into entry level jobs. These type of jobs only require basic knowledge and a lot of dedication – both which you have at this stage in life. As you continue, you can add to your knowledge and skill through your daily routine and build experience which you can use in time to come.
Part Time Jobs – Earn while studying
There are also many part-time jobs available. If you are still in your higher studies, a part-time job offers you work experience beforehand, and also financial assistance during this high demanding stage. They are more flexible and gives you freedom to balance studies and work. Another growing trend is to engage in studies while you are full time employed. Many establishments encourage their employees to study further while working.
