Are you looking for an affordable IT degree from a government university in Sri Lanka?

The Open University of Sri Lanka (OUSL) has called applications for the 2026 intake of its Bachelor of Science in Information Technology (BSc IT) degree programme. This programme has become one of the most popular IT degree options for school leavers and working professionals because of its affordable fees, flexible learning system, and government university recognition.

One of the biggest advantages is that students from Arts, Commerce, Science, Mathematics, and Technology streams can apply if they have three passes at the G.C.E. Advanced Level examination. As highlighted in our previous Student Lanka video, many students do not realise that even Arts stream students can enter an IT degree pathway through OUSL.
