4 September 2023 – A/L 2022 (2023 Jan) Results released.
Minister of Education Susil Premajayantha told Parliament yesterday (9) that releasing of the results of the GCE Advanced Level exam A/L 2022 will be delayed due to the present trade union action by University staff.
Federation of University Teachers’ Associations (FUTA) launched a full-scale strike against the newly introduced tax policies with effect from yesterday (9) until further notice and they are refraining from participating A/L Paper marking activities.
Minister said that 350 university staff involve in the preparation of Marking schemes, which could not be completed due to this Trade Union action. He also said that about 1300 university staff (Professors and Senior Lectures) will be needed to conduct A/L paper marking panels.
GCE A/L 2022 examination was held from 23rd January to 17th February 2023.
A/L 2023 and O/L 2023 Exam Dates?
He also said that GCE Advanced level examination 2023 and O/L 2023 will also have to be postponed if the trade union action will continue.
