Vadan kavi pota “වදන් කවි පොත” is a Sinhalese poem book, used as a textbook in traditional primary education. This was written by Atharagama Bandara Rajaguru Teacher during 1742- 1777.

These poems consist of

• Homage to Triple Gems Buddha, Dhamma, Sanga, and introducing the alphabet and grammar to the young student (v.1-28);
• emphasizing the importance of learning despite the caning a student might have to endure (v.29-36), and
• ending up with an offering to the god of learning (Ganapati) and obeisance to other gods such as Natha, Surya, and Kataragama.

Printed edition contains Gana devi hallla and Vsdan kavi potha with 74 verses.
