The cut off marks for students who sat for the paper in the Sinhala Medium in Colombo, Gampaha, Kalutara, Kandy, Galle, Matara, Matale, Kurunegala and Kegalle is 157.
The cut off marks for students in the Tamil Stream from Colombo, Gampaha, Kalutara, Kandy, Galle, Matara, Matale, Kurunegala and Kegalle is 152.
Results of the 2014 Grade Five Scholarship Examination have been released.

A total of 335,585 students sat for the Grade 5 Scholarship exam held on August 17.
W.A. Venuja Nimsath from Embilipitiya Primary School has ranked first in the island with 199 marks.
Malaka Nethmal Tillakaratne of Royal Primary School in Polonnaruwa is ranked second with 198 marks while two students are tied in third place.

The cut off marks too have been eleased and accordingly to allow students to apply to a school of their choice too have been released.
Accordingly, the cut off marks for students who sat for the paper in the Sinhala medium in Colombo, Gampaha, Kalutara, Kandy, Galle, Matara, Matale, Kurunegala and Kegalle is 163.
The cut off marks for students in the Sinhala medium in Hambanthota, Anuradhapura, Polonnaruwa and Ratnapura is 161, for students in Puttalam, Ampara, Trincomalee, Badulla and Moneragala 160 and for Nuwara Eliya, Mannar, Vavuniya and Mullaitivu the cut off mark is 159.
