Although the newly established offer attractive courses there is less demand compared to other courses. This may be due to lack of experienced and professionally qualified staff. Within few years they will also turned out to be well demanded university courses in Sri Lanka. However if you are good at particular area such as IT you can directly mark your preferences without marking all other courses. The risk in this approach is if you are not selected for the particular course you will lose other chances as you have not marked these in the preference list. UGC will consider your preferences according to priority list and will give you the highest eligible course.
