Dasun Jayasinha of Royal College, Colombo and Chathurika Kulathunga of Sangamiththa Girls College, Galle topped the Island First best results at the GCE (OL) Examination 2012, the Examination Department announced.
The Second place went to Gayathri Alwis of Sangamiththa Girls College, Galle, while third place was secured by Madasmitha Amaa Ranawaka of Vishaka Vidyalaya Colombo.
The O/L examination was held in 2012 December and names of top seven candidates are below.
1. Dasun Jayasinha of Royal College and Chathurika Kulathunga of Sangamiththa Girls College, Galle
2. Gayathri Alwis – Sangamiththa Girls College, Galle
3. Madasmitha Ranawaka – Vishaka Vidyalaya
5. Sahan Wijewantha – St. Alocius College, Ratnapura
6. Tepuli U. Karunaratne – Ratnavali Maha Vidyalaya, Gampaha
7. Sandani Dikpitiya – Devi Balika Vidyalaya, D. Wathsala Ratnayake – Ratnavali MV Gampaha and Lahiru Kularatne – Trinity College Kandy
