The O/L 2022 examinations, conducted in October 2023, experienced a six-month delay in releasing results, culminating in the release on the final day of November.
According to the Department of Examination Commissioner General Amit Jayasundara, a total of 394,450 school applicants and 17,103 private applicants—reaching a total of 472,553 candidates—participated in this crucial examination.
