How to enter UoVT (Entry Qualifications)
Two types of students can enter UoVT
After A/Level based on Z scores
Students who have completed National Vocational Qualification Level 5 or 6 (NVQ 5 or NVQ 6) and Diploma holders (Diploma) and Higher National Diploma (HND) NVQ 7

Courses for NVQ-qualified students to complete their degree
For this, you need either of the following quliafications
NVQ(SL) 05 or higher qualification
HNDE , HNDQS , HNDA , NDT , NDES , NDET or equivalent qualification in relevant fields
Other qualifications equivalent to NVQ 05 or 06 levels approved by the Tertiary and Vocational Education Commission

B. Tech. in Building Services Technology – Construction, Civil, Mechanical, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning, Mechanical, Building Services, Electrical and Communications.
B. Tech. in Manufacturing Technology – Manufacturing, Mechatronics, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning, Mechanical, Automotive Technology, Welding, Farm Machinery, Chemical and Polymer Technology
B. Tech. in Food Process Technology – Food Technology, Agriculture, Pharmaceuticals, Livestock, and Dairy Products, Food Quality and Food Chemistry
B. Tech. in Software Technology – Information and Communication Technology
B. Tech. in Multimedia & Web Technology – Information and Communication Technology
B. Tech. in Network Technology – – Information and Communication Technology, Telecommunications
B. Tech. in Industrial Management Technology – any technical or professional field
B. Tech. in Film & Television Production Technology (Weekends) – Cinema, Television, Video Production, Digital Media Technology
B. Tech. in Quantity Surveying
B. Tech. in Construction Technology and Resource Management – Construction Technology
B. Tech. in Media Arts Production Technology (Days of the Week) – Mass Media Production, Communications, Print, Radio, Cinema, Television, Audio Visual Media, New Media, Journalism or Qualified School Education recognized by the University Academic Council or Communication and Media Studies subject in recognized institutions teaching
Bachelor Of Hotel Management – Hospitality Management or Hotel & Tourism NVQ 05 or higher qualification, with at least one year full-time in the field of Hotel & Tourism offered by training institutions registered with the Tertiary and Vocational Education Commission Sabah or foreign institutions recognized by the University Study Sabah. or equivalent part-time qualification and minimum two years experience in a 03 star or above hotel
Bachelor of Education in Technology (B. Ed. Tech) – NVQ 05 or higher qualification in relevant fields, HNDE, NDT, NDES, NDET, NDICT qualification in relevant fields, Tertiary and Vocational Education Commission Sabah NVQ 05/06 equivalent qualification, a diploma awarded by the National Institute of Education under the training given in the National Education Colleges recognized by the University Academic Council in relation to the above fields.
Bachelor of Education in English Language Teaching (B. Ed. ELT) – An NVQ 05 qualification in English and Education recognized by the Tertiary and Vocational Education Commission Sabah, HNDE(English), English language teaching conducted in education colleges by the National Institute of Education. National Diploma in English Language, National Training Technology Diploma in English Language Teaching offered by Sri Lanka National Institute of Technical Education or UoVT, Higher National Diploma in English Language offered by Sri Lanka Higher Institute of Technology, English Training Teacher Certificate from Ministry of Education, Sri Lanka National Institute of Technical Education Diploma in English language offered by the institute or UoVT and a certificate of eligibility including teaching English language recognized by the University Council.
Bachelor of Translation Studies degree course is also included.
