Webometrics, QS, and THE Times Higher Education published their 2022 World Ranking for Universities.

The most popular ranking system in Sri Lanka is Webometrics ranking as it lists all universities with visible websites. They give their ranking on web impact and research impact (based on Google Sholar data and Scopus research publication data)

Best five Universities in Sri Lanka:

Best 16 universities:
QS Asia University Rankings 2021
QS has only ranked five Universities in Sri Lanka: Peradeniya, Colombo, Moratuwa, Jaffna, and Sri Jayewardenepura. Other Universities have not been included as they are below their threshold level (maybe due to being too specialized in their subject areas or they have less research output).
THE higher education ranking 2022
They have only ranked the University of Peradeniya and the University of Colombo for this ranking. However, it is interesting to note that they have place SLIIT as a reporter status.
THE Impact Ranking
THE ranking team has introduced this ranking based on the Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations.
Only three Universities in Sri Lanka got this ranking: Peradeniya, Colombo, and Sri Jayewardneprua.
