Students who sat GCE A/L 2019 examination can register for universities online from today (23), the University Grants Commission (UGC) said in a statement.
Students can complete the registration via www.ugc.ac.lk.

How many students?
Prof Sampath Amaratunge, UGC Chairman said that 41,500 students are to be registered for the 2019/2020 academic year.
He said that online lectures in English and Technology for these students will commence from 2020 December.
UGC chairman said that a loan scheme from Peoples Bank has been arrange to these students to buy computers to participate in these online lectures.
The UGC states that special intake will be available for the applicants with exceptional abilities/ skills in sports to Universities-Academic Year 2019/2020.
