Schools and tuition classes reopen date after lockdown in Sri Lanka



As per the four-stage plan, schools will be open for grade 5, 11 and 13 on July 6, while grades 10 and 12 will commence on July 20.

Schools will commence under four stages on July 27 and it will be only for students of Grades 03, 04, 06, 07, 08 and 09.

All government schools will be opened for teachers as per the four-stage plan by the Ministry of Education today (29 July 2020). Therefore, principals, teachers and nonacademic staff are expected to report to schools today.



The Government decided to close schools on March 13 following the COVID-19 outbreak.

Tuition classes also started from today (29 July 2020).
