Regardless of the results obtained at the Ordinary Level O/L Examinations, even if you fail O/L, you can now follow A/L classes in newly introduced Vocational Stream. Students are also allowed to choose a number of three subjects out of 26 available in the stream.
The National programme is named as "thirteen years of guaranteed education".
NVQ Qualification
The student is able to obtain an established professional training for the expected job and also learn the necessary guidelines. They will also able to obtain a professional qualification (NVQ) 4 certificate which is nationally accepted and become competent in the field of their choice.
Subjects in this vocational stream
The stream consists of
- Nine compulsory subjects - to be followed in Year 12 Term 1 and
- 26 Applied subjects, covering 7 business sectors - Three subjects to be selected by each student in Year 12 - Term 2 and 3
- Vocational training - in one selected (out of 3 subjects followed in year 12) subject in Year 13
Nine Compulsory subjects
The General curriculum will cover following 9 main compulsory subjects and within the first six months of the academic year (First term of Grade 12).;

Thereafter, students will choose one subject from the Applied Curriculum which will be completed during the remaining 18 months of the academic year.
