The Ministry of Education has extended the Application deadline for the 2017 GCE Ordinary Level (O/L) exam, by 2 weeks from May 31 to June 15, in view of the floods that ravaged the country last week, according to the MoE website’s directions to the the Examination Department.

Issue of Identity Cards
The MoE has also directed the Dept of Registrar of Persons, to continue receiving applications for National Identity Cards (NIC) from GCE (O/L) 2017 candidates, till June 15. Accordingly, applicants for new NICs can make use of the extended period.
New Copies of Exam Certificates for Flood affected students
Meanwhile, arrangements have been made to issue, free of charge, new copies of exam certificates, for those lost in the floods, the website said.
