National Universities in Sri Lanka have their own Anthems. Some universities have produced videos and mp3 files on these Anthems (Universality songs). We bring you some of those we found here.
Univesity of Sri Jayewardeneprua anthem (Sri Lanka Pinbapra ran derane) was written by Prof Sunil Ariyaratne. Video was produced by Japura Media, official media Unit of the Universality of Sri Jayewardenepura.
We could not locate Official Anthem of University of Colombo, Hence we bring you a documentary produced by University of Colombo.
University of Peradeniya anthem is called “Nam wamu uasusurini”
University of Kelaniya anthem is called Siya desa kithu gosa
Wayamba University Theme Song
Theme song of Sabaragamuwa University is called Me obe saviyai
Anthem of University of Ruhuna is called “Bablana siri laka dakune”
Uva Wellassa University Anthem is called “Namunu kulin bambara galata”
We could not locate an Anthem for Open University of Sri Lanka. This is an documentary on Open University.
