Sri Jinaratana Training Institute attached to Hunupitiya Gangarama Temple, Colombo conduct over 50 technical courses.
These courses include Photography and Videography, Mobile Phone Repair, CCTV camera, Fish Breeding, Electronics, motor mechanism, tinkering, painting, blacksmithy work, welding and electric wiring. Over 7,000 attend classes daily. Some courses are free, and for other courses they charge nominal fee.
They also conduct very famous Secretarial courses and English classes. They also have 40 training centers established in the outstations.
Gangarama Temple
Gangarama Temple is located in the heart of the Colombo city by the Beire Lake. This is run by one of Sri Lanka’s prominent Buddhist monks, Galboda Gnanissara Thera. Gangaramaya Temple was established by most venerable Hikkaduewe Sri Sumanga Thero, nearly a 120 years ago.
