Update 2018 Feb – Sri Lanka Bureau of Foreign Employment started issuing of applications for the Korean Language Examination from today (26 February 2018) to 2 March 2018.
Sri Lanka Bureau of Foreign Employment has the legal rights regarding sending Sri Lankan workforce to Korea, according to the agreement between the Ministry of Employment and Labor of Republic of Korea and the Ministry of Foreign Employment Promotion and Welfare in Sri Lanka,
EPS (Employment Permit System) is a transparent global recruitment system where no outside party can influence the recruitment or the selection procedure, including the Sending party (Sri Lanka Bureau of Foreign Employment) and the Receiving party (HRD Korea). However, that passing the EPS-TOPIK only guarantees the qualification for job application for EPS, and does not guarantee the employment in Korea.

The Korean language proficiency test to select Sri Lankans to unskilled and semi-skilled jobs in Korea will be held on October 11 and 12, the Sri Lanka Bureau of Foreign Employment (SLBFE) announced.
The examination is held for the 12th consecutive year.
Accordingly, 13,998 candidates will take the Korean language proficiency examination at four centers in Colombo. The SLBFE announced that the examination is held this year targeting selection only to the employment in fisheries and construction industries.
The examination is held by the Human Resources Development Department of Korea and SLBFE facilitates the examination.

Each chapter of the standard textbook for EPS-TOPIK is comprised of five parts as below.
1. Vocabulary and Expression (Learn about the vocabulary through pictures)
2. Dialog (Using learned vocabularies through expressions and knowing about the grammar)
3. Practice (Make up a dialog and practice)
4. Culture/Information (Information about Korean culture and their’s work environment)
5. EPS-TOPIK practice (Preparing the EPS-TOPIK test)
