According to this list popular schools which produced inland best results and most number of 9 A's were dropped down in the list. Vishaka Vidyalaya Colombo became No 4, Ananda College No 17 became and Royal College was placed in No 19.
Minister of Education Bandula Gunawardena recently announced this list of best Sri Lankan schools based on average marks scored by candidates in a school at GCE O/L 2011 examination. This list was compiled by Research Unit of Department of Examination.
