Updated 2017: Some Text books of government schools along with other educational institutions (such as Pirivena, semi-governmental schools, private schools, International schools) published by Educational Publications Department can be downloaded free in pdf format.
According to Mr Tissa Hewavithana, Commissioner General of Educational Publications Department, they have uploaded several school text books and you can either download them or learn interactively with them. Their aim is to upload all the other textbooks to the internet as early as possible (Website of Educational Publications Department, 2013).
