E-thaksalawa is the national e-learning portal or open source Learning Management System for general education. This has been designed according to syllabuses of the students from grade 1 to 13. E-thaksalawa is created and maintained by the information and communication technology branch of the Ministry of Education.
You can download textbooks, syllabuses, teacher instruction manuals, subject related educational software, question-answer collections, student note books, eBooks, revision question papers, previous term test papers, question papers of national level examinations (G.C.E. O/L , G.C.E. A/L), answer scripts as pdf files, images and supplementary readers for all the subjects from grade 1 to 13 (including Educational Resources for Grade 5, O/L and A/L examinations) from E-thakshalawa website. These lessons are available in Sinhala, Tamil and English languages. Educational songs, drama songs, children’s songs & many other related songs are also now available in e-thaksalawa.
You can access to many information without registering. However to access some contents such as online MCQ A/L and O/L MCQ model papers, you need to register.
E-thaksalawa received e-swabimani Award for best creation in the category of ‘e-Learning and Education’ in 2014 and Manthan Award in 2014.
