Various scholarship programs are available for Sri Lankan students who wish to follow courses in foreign universities. Some of the programs are listed here.

Latest scholarship offers – Education UK – British Council – Sri Lanka
The Presidential Scholarship Scheme - There is a Presidential Scholarship Scheme for post graduate studies – The Presidential Scholarship Scheme was revamped to grant 175 scholarships to University Lecturers, Public Sector employees and their children and other bright youth to follow academic and training courses in fields that would meet the development needs of the country.
The Millennium Scholarship Scheme of the Presidential fund is a new scholarship scheme for G. C. E. A’Level students who excel in academic and extra curricular activities
Sri Lanka – Canada Scholarship Foundation – This is a non-profit, volunteer organization registered in British Columbia, Canada, to help the needy students of Sri Lankan origin in their education.
The european union’s cultural and educational co-operation – Erasmus Mundus – The European Commission offers scholarships to Sri Lankan graduate students to attend Erasmus Mundus Masters Courses in Europe.
Scholarships by study aborad funding
Scholarships for Sri Lankan students by University of Bedfordshire – The University offers scholarships for Sri Lankan students of high academic standing commencing their studies at the University of Bedfordshire.

I studied in a international college and Passed

the london edexel exam with 3 credits,I studied

up to this level with my uncle’s help. Now I

wanted do medicine in Malaysia or India, as my

family is economicaly not sound,Please guide me to

I’m Nilanka Edirisinghe 24 years old young. My father was die he was a farmer. My mother is a unemployed lady. My monthly basic salary is US$140-150. I hold a B.A (Hons) degree in Sanskrit with a first class from the University of Sri Jayewardenepura in Sri Lanka and won the Sri Soratha gold medal for the highest marks at the faculty of Arts of the same University in 2007. I also got overall band score 6.0 from IELTS(Academic) exam conducted by the British council in Sri lanka in 2008. I also served as a visiting lecturer in Sanskrit for 4 months at the Buddhist and Pali University of Sri Lanka in Sri Lanka. Now I am serving as a Temporary tutor in Sanskrit at the Department of languages and Cultural studies of the University of Sri Jayewardenepura. But still we must have some BIG amount of money even to study abroad with scholarships or U’ll need 3 A’s. But why would anyone study abroad if they have enough results to get into Moratuwa or Peradeniya ?
